Questions
Good to know
What is Moonscribe?
A mobile app for original fiction. Independent authors publish stories chapter by chapter, and readers read or listen to them, follow the authors and support their work.
Can I read and write?
Yes. You choose what you mainly want to do when you sign up, and you can always do both.
Is reading free?
Chapters are free by default. Writers can choose to make some chapters premium, which readers unlock with Moonscribe coins.
How does narration work?
Tap play on any chapter and a natural-sounding voice reads it aloud, highlighting each word as it goes. Pick the voice you like and the speed that suits you.
Who is Tyler?
Tyler is Moonscribe’s AI writing assistant, built into the chapter editor. Writers ask it for ideas and feedback; what goes on the page is always up to them.
